  • In October 2009 California passed new legislation requiring all Private Post Secondary Schools, new or current, to be properly
    registered/renewed and approved by the state government. Newport International University is presently in the process of registering with the State of California pursuant to the California Private Post-Secondary Education Act of 2009. Newport International University's soon pending application for approval to operate has not yet been submitted to or reviewed by the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary Education.
